Alfred Underwood’s client, a young man with no previous convictions, was charged alongside two others with three counts of being concerned in the supply of drugs (Class A and Class B) into Boomtown music festival in Hampshire.
The prosecution alleged that he and his co-defendants were part of an enterprise to smuggle drugs worth over £10,000 into the festival in 2019, by concealing them within supermarket food packaging that had been carefully resealed to appear new, and then sell them to festivalgoers.
Following a trial lasting over three weeks, the client was found not guilty of all counts by a jury at Winchester Crown Court. The two co-defendants were both found guilty by the jury of Class A and Class B drug supply.
Alfred was instructed by Jessica Powell of Healey Colbon Solicitors.
