Daniel Kersh successfully appeals sentence for appellant who had previously had leave to appeal refused by the Single Judge. The Defendant had sought to appeal his sentence three years after his sentence through different Counsel, and the Court of Appeal refused to hear his application, saying it was unmeritorious. Following Mr Kersh being instructed by the Appellant, fresh grounds were presented to the Court, resulting in leave being granted and the Court agreeing that the original sentence was manifestly excessive and consequently reducing the original sentence of 17 years custody by two years. Daniel Kersh was instructed by Philip Hill of Shaw Graham Kersh solicitors.
