Why Instruct Us?

Barristers at 187 Chambers can carry out advocacy before any court or tribunal in England and Wales, and before international courts and tribunals.  Members can provide you with independent legal advice in writing, by telephone, or at a face-to-face meeting.

Members can be instructed by the following who are invited to contact the clerks on +44 (0)20 7430 7430 for a quote for our barristers‘ services or email clerks@187chambers.com:

  • Solicitors or other practising lawyers;
  • Corporate and government legal departments
  • Qualified foreign lawyers
  • Members of the public who wish to instruct a barrister under the Public Access Scheme

We also undertake international advisory work and may accept instructions direct from clients who carry on business or usually reside outside England and Wales.  Members are also able to advise and represent clients in relation to proceedings taking place in common law jurisdictions outside England and Wales.

In relation to fees members may agree to provide the services for a fixed fee, including brief fee and refreshers, or an agreed hourly rate.  For information, please contact the clerks at +44 (0)20 7430 7430 or email clerks@187chambers.com.  Charging structures are dependent upon the case itself.
